Glimpses from Farmers' Field Day at Chak No. 658/9 GB (Jaranwala)
CSISA Pakistan hub organized another farmers' field day on April 4, 2011 at Chak # 658/9 GB (Jaranwala). It was organized at the farm of Mr. Muhammad Irshad, a progressive farmer, who has planted zero till wheat on 8 acres by using CSISA planter (ZTPB).
The Engro Chemicals Ltd. Pakistan (a well-known fertilizer manufacturer) has also laid down a demonstration plot with respect to nutrient management at Muhammad Irshad farm. Engro Chemicals is a partner of CSISA-Pakistan, and is playing an important role in promotion of CA technologies.
The function was presided over by Dr. Muhammad Aqil Kahn, Country Coordinator – CSISA, Pakistan. Ch. Muneer Ahmad Director Agri. Res. (HQ), AARI, Faisalabad, graced the occasion representing Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad. Dr. Mumtaz Hussain Director Plant Protection Research Institute, AARI, Faisalabad was guest of honour in the function. Mr. Syed Manzar Abbas, Market Development Officer Engro Chemicals, Faisalabad along with his team made impressive arrangements of the program. The Agri. extension was represented by local officer/staff.

Farmers' Field Day at Chak No. 78/ JB (Thikriwala) Faisalabad
CSISA Pakistan hub organized a farmers' field day on March 25, 2011 at Chak # 78/ JB (Thikriwala). It was organised at the farm of Mr. Shaukat Hayat, a progressive farmer and service provider, who has planted wheat on beds on 6 acres.
The Fauji Fertilizer Company Ltd (FFC, a well-known fertilizer manufacturer) has also laid down a demonstration plot with respect to nutrient management at Mr. Shaukat’s farm. FFC is a partner of CSISA-Pakistan, and has played a vital role in promotion of CA technologies. They have also worked on a demonstration plot on Bed Planted (BP) wheat at another farm of Mr. Raja Asghar of Chak # 296/ RB.
